Title: 'Johnson and Boswell - Late But Live'

Description: 230 years after they made their journey, Boswell hosts a book launch, interviewing Johnson, discussing Scotland ancient and modern, and taking questions from the audience. Haggis is eaten. Pipes are played. And sacred highland cattle are ritually slaughtered. This is an hilarious new play which has Johnson and Boswell take a quantum leap into 21st century Scotland. Their wit and invective are rapier sharp and able to focus on a range of contemporary targets as they ponder the changes and achievements of the ‘Scotchmen’ in the intervening period. The performance includes a section of material specially written for each town and city they pass through on the tour. An hilrious new comedy from Stewart Lee, starring Simon Munnery and Miles Jupp from StandOut Comedy.

Title: George Egg 'Anarchist Cook'

Description: Lakin McCarthy presents GEORGE EGG - Anarchist Cook SELL OUT – Edinburgh Fringe 2015 & 2016 Winner – Spirit of The Fringe Award 2015 If you like food and cooking then you’ll like this. A cocktail of stand-up comedy, striking innovation and extreme multi-tasking. George Egg spends a lot of time staying in hotels and some years ago, unimpressed with room service, he took matters into his own hands. Whilst performing a mind-bendingly original show of comedy-cum-illustrated-lecture George prepares a three-course meal on the equipment hotels unwittingly provide (iron, kettle, trouser press…), and if you want to, you can taste it at the end. George is touring the show in 2016/2017, a tour that has taken him to Estonia, Norway, The Netherlands, New Zealand and extensively throughout the United Kingdom. " a genius… He is the friendly face of anarchy, the anarchic face of food and the foodie face of comedy" SCOTLAND ON SUNDAY " A hilarious show, with surprisingly good food" THE TIMES " It is refreshing to encounter a performer who really is unique" THE TELEGRAPH " My find of the Fringe" THE INDEPENDENT " George’s show Anarchist Cook is absolutely glorious" THE SCOTSMAN Video Reel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ye7XscJCkG4 George’s Website: www.anarchistcook.info

Title: Jeremy Hardy

Description: Jeremy Hardy is one of Britain’s most well-established ‘alternative’ stand-ups, unafraid to mix his socialist politics into his topical act. He has been a regular columnist for London’s ES Magazine and the Guardian and has written two books, Jeremy Hardy Speaks To The Nation, based on his Radio 4 series of the same name and When Did You Last See Your Father. A kind soul in The Guardian wrote of him, “In an ideal world, Jeremy Hardy would be extremely famous, but an ideal world would leave him without most of his best material.” We start the night with two talented young traditional musicians. 14+ (Parental Guidance) Likely to be swearing and adult content
