_1709 'Tosta' Festival Village workshops "Tosta is a collaboration between several minority language communities of Europe\u2019s Atlantic coast - a concert village which will arrive on the back of two lorries, all the way from Donastia or San Sebastian, the capital of the Basque Country, and City of Culture in 2016. The village unfolds with a stage, exhibition hall, a radio shack, and a programme of events during the day and into the evening. \u2018Tosta\u2019 means the bench in a boat, and is a word that is present, with small variations, in many minority languages along the European Atlantic coast. This summer 'Tosta' is visiting and bringing together music and language from Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Galicia, Faroe Islands, The Basque Country and Fryslan. Events includes an open stage for musicians, exhibitions, the origami flotilla of paper boats made by local school-children, a human mosaic and radio programmes from all the countries involved."
