Alasdair is one of the greatest carriers of the Scottish fiddle music tradition, a fiddler whose warmly expressive playing, mastery of his instrument and deep understanding of his native music as a venerable and continually evolving art is an inspiration to generations of musicians on both sides of the Atlantic. \n\n\n\nAlasdair will be joined by the tutors on the course, who include Natalie Haas, Bego\u00f1a Riobo (Galicia), Troy MacGillivray (Cape Breton), Louise Mackenzie (Scotland), Trish Strain (Scotland), Seylan Baxter (Scotland), Jos\u00e9 Liz (Galicia) and dancers, Francisco Javier Feijo\u00f3  (Galicia) and Mairi Britton (Scotland)\n\n\n\nWith income from this event SEALL is delighted to support one young musician from Skye to attend the fiddle course.\n\n\n\n&quot;One of Scotland's most valued tradition-bearers\u201d BBC Radio Scotland" </dc:description>
