    <dc:title>Children's Classic Concert presents Fiddlesticks</dc:title>
<dc:description>"Join CCC presenter Owen Gunnell and the award-winning Maxwell Quartet for a brand new family concert featuring jaw-dropping virtuoso performances and well known classics. Violins meet vibraphones as Fiddlesticks explores the wonderful world of the strings and the acrobatic possibilities of percussion in an interactive hour-long concert. For twenty-one years Children's Classic Concerts have been delighting children, their families and teachers with their fun-filled introduction to live orchestral music. Over the years our concerts have featured not just classical music but jazz, traditional Celtic and world music in a lively mix of entertainment and education that regularly sells out at concert halls in Scotland. For the last seven years, artistic consultants and concert hosts Owen Gunnell and Oliver Cox have wowed our audiences with their virtuoso percussion skills and madcap, energetic presenting style. They actively encourage audience participation and provide simple, amusing explanations of each piece, making the music more accessible and adding to the relaxed and inclusive experience that CCC aims to provide for each audience member. We have worked with many professional musicians and artists including the Mugenkyo Taiko Drummers, Scottish percussionists Albannach, renowned harpist and composer Savourna Stevenson and actor James Mackenzie, who played CBBC's Raven. We are currently working in partnership with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra." </dc:description>
