'John Muir' - Andrew Harrison theatre
John Muir was a good Dunbar lad who left Scotland for the USA. This 40 minute show presents you with the story of his early life in Dunbar and travels to America. There Muir saw the wild land, met poets, preachers and presidents and became the father of modern conservation. Andrew Harrison's solo show brings his story alive and is at turns enchanting, challenging, humerous, moving and inspiring. " A passionate experience, incredibly interesting, hugely enjoyable" International Countryside Rangers Congress. The theatre piece is followed by a short talk about the work of the John Muir Trust on Skye and Scotland, with Sandy Maxwell the JMT workcamp co-ordinator.
