Blas Festival - Eilidh Mackenzie Band
'Saoghal Sona' or 'Wonderful World' is a new commission by the accomplished Black Isle based bàrd Eilidh Mackenzie, Saoghal Sona is a show of new songs written about news events over the past year. The only thing that is instead of the usual doom and gloom which we normally get from our media, all the songs tell a story of joy! With performances from some of our top news readers, musicians and singers, this show will definitely leave a smile on your face. The show is opened by the up and coming young band Kilairum. Winners of Danny Kyle's Open Stage 2010, Kilairum are a contemporary folk-fusion band, incorporating both jazz and traditional styles into their music. They inlcude Mairi Caimbeul of Sleat.Date: 11/09/10
