Sutherland, Green, Napier and Massie
Four well-known faces on the Scottish traditional music scene come together, a night of slow airs, fast paced tunes and possibly some bizarre musical interludes. Adam, from Errogie on the south shores of Loch Ness, is one of Scotland’s most exciting fiddle players, leading a fiddle camp here at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig this week. He is joined by Hamish Napier, flute and whistle player. They both play in other bands, but together are known as 'Nae Plans', and with certainly 'nae plan' tonight they will present a very diverse, spontaneous and exciting set-list. Mairearad Green is one of Scotland’s top traditional music composers, from the Coigach peninsula of the Highlands. Renowned for her deft and lyrical accordion style, as well as her dextrous piping, Mairearad is in great demand as a performer and composer. She is joined by Anna Massie, guitar, who is also one of the 'Blazin Fiddles'.Date: 22/08/17
