Her lack of sight has never lessened her sheer joy at everyday life. As a girl, her father taught her to recognise by touch every flower, shrub and tree in their walled garden to make her at ease with her world. Following a critically-acclaimed run at the Citizens\u2019 Theatre, Glasgow in 2005, the National Theatre of Scotland presents Molly Sweeney in a nationwide tour this autumn. Created by Brian Friel, one of Ireland\u2019s foremost playwrights, Molly\u2019s emotional journey is at the heart of one of our most thought-provoking modern dramas. When Molly marries the unemployed Frank, they embark on a relentless campaign to restore her sight. Packing an enormous dramatic and emotional punch, their journey results in them paying a wonderful, terrible price.
