The Edinburgh based trombonist John Kenny is internationally recognised as one of the world\u2019s leading exponents of contemporary music, but he is also well known in Scotland as the man who plays the carnyx, Scotland\u2019s 2000 year old Celtic war horn. He is the only trombonist to have developed a repertoire with string quartet! Now working with the internationally acclaimed Scottish harpist Catriona McKay and the Edinburgh Quartet, an entirely new repertoire for string quartet, harp and trombone has been commissioned. It is a combination of extraordinary subtlety and beauty, which has never been heard before \u2013 five composers of very different character and background, from Scotland, France, England, and Bulgaria.
