Skye and Lochalsh Orchestra
Based in Broadford on the Isle of Skye, SLO is one of only three Scottish island-based orchestras. In spite of drawing from a population of just 12,500, covering an area of over 1000 sq. miles, we have most of the instruments required for a small classical orchestra so are able to perform a wide variety of music, from baroque to modern. Tonight's concert is conducted by Iain Roden and features Laurence Perkins, bassoon solo. Laurence is a frequent visitor to the adjacent Isle of Raasay and is principal bassoon player with the Manchester Camerata.Date: 05/04/14
