'Sotho Sounds' Commonwealth Games Culture
Khotso! 'Sotho Sounds' are shepherd musicians from the Kingdom of Lesotho, southern Africa They make pure, raw organic roots music, on instruments made from throwaway junk: wood, wire, tin cans, metal. The songs are the heartbeat of their land. They have made SOMETHING from nothing. They are proud. They are strong. They are on a journey in life, and want to share their music with you. Visiting the Highland's as part of Glasgow 2014's cultural programme with the Commonwealth Games. Come along and make your own junk instruments during the day.
