'Night Touches Day' Gerda Stevenson

Gerda Stevenson heads to Skye soon after her Celtic Connections appearance with her recently released and highly acclaimed debut album Night Touches Day', a wonderfully diverse and accomplished array of poetic original songs. Gerda is joined by Kyrre Slind, guitar, banjo, mandolin, lute; Seylan Baxter, cello and Rob MacNeacail, bass guitar, guitar, and piano/keyboards. “Took my breath away. It's extraordinarily good, quite stunning songwriting…singing and arrangements are impeccable…full of lovely wee quirks and surprises and it regularly caught me out by going to places totally unexpected but totally right. Braw, braw wark, aathegither. Braw, braw wark, aathegither” (Dick Gaughan) “Gerda Stevenson possesses one of the most naturally expressive singing voices I've heard in many a year.” Rory Macdonald of Runrig Listen to Gerda HERE https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=eDEvqTg22_c Making connections: Gerda appeared in 'Grit' which was voted Best Event at the 2014 Trad Music Awards.
