'Road Trip Across the Americas' - National Youth Jazz Orchestra of Scotland
The National Youth Jazz Orchestra of Scotland, led by Music director Malcolm Edmonstone and Principal Conductor Andrew Bain, brings together around 30 of Scotland's best young performers for a Summer School on Skye. With some seriously funky music, revisiting Donald Fagan’s seminal solo debut Nightfly, these concerts will involve a vocal jazz ensemble, one of the Jazz programme’s most exciting recent developments. The concert opens with the NYOS Jazz Access project, with a range of big band repertoire. The featured guest artist is the amazing Scottish guitarist Malcolm MacFarlane.Date: 15/07/17
