'Festival Saturday'
An action-packed and musical Festival Saturday. The three-storey venue over-looking the sea will be filled with events for everyone: the all-Gaelic indoor paper-plane competition, a café, music and dance workshops for adults and children, pavement art, local school's art exhibition, exhibition of the Gaelic oral tradition, the 'time-line' frieze, a treasure hunt, Cèilidh dancing, balloon animals, crafts and children's performers. Outside Shoestring Circus will be teaching circus skills, there will be some Viking re-enactments, Pictish jewellery, and the Heavy Horses and wagon from Raasay will offer rides. Meanwhile John Phillips, the Highland Council Ranger will lead various short 'misguided walks' with a competition. The entry ticket gets you to all events for free.Date: 15/07/00
