Blas Festival - Michael McGoldrick
Born in Manchester to Irish parents, Michael McGoldrick was encouraged by the thriving traditional Irish music scene in the city. He plays with Capercaillie and as a solo artist, and is regarded as one of the greatest flute players of all time. The evening opens with Strath Gaelic Choir, based in south Skye and regular award-winners at the Annual Mod.Date: 06/09/06
